The Olive Tree has been associated with the Benedictine Monks of New Norcia since the original grove was established in 1886.
New Norcia is still famous for its olive oil (which was awarded a medal at the 1908 Franco-British Exhibition in London). More than 600 trees are harvested annually.
As part of the 2018 RASWA Perth Royal Food Awards, New Norcia’s oil was named “Winner of the Best Oil of Show” and “Best WA Oil of Show”! Oil from this harvest is now available for purchase.
